NLign Trade Association Involvement
This article provides an overview of the trade associations that NLA is actively pursuing membership with. Our goal in exploring these affiliations is to enhance our visibility in key aerospace and manufacturing ecosystems, foster collaboration with industry leaders, and stay informed on evolving standards and opportunities across both commercial and defense sectors.
General Aviation Manufacturers' Association (GAMA)
- Purpose: "Foster and advance the general welfare, safety, interests, and activities of the global business and general aviation industry. This includes promoting a better understanding of general aviation manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul and the important role these industry segments play in economic growth and opportunity, and in serving the critical transportation needs of communities, companies, and individuals worldwide."
- Members: Textron Aviation, Gulfstream Aerospace, Bombardier, Embraer, Dassault Aviation, Honda Aircraft Company, Cirrus Aircraft, Airbus Helicopters, Bell.
Total membership: 150+ companies across the global aviation supply chain. - Membership Costs: $5,000
- Main NLign POC: Nora Grundy, Larry Faist
- Current Stage of Membership: Application submitted on May 22, 2025, by Nora Grundy. The application is under review and scheduled for board approval in August 2025.
- Additional Relevant Information: GAMA hosts an industry working group focused on Digital Twin technologies. Nora Grundy will attend the group’s next meeting in June 2025 and will share key insights internally as relevant.
Aerospace Industries' Association (AIA)
- Purpose: Policy advocacy, promote U.S. Aerospace leadership, shape standards and regulations, advance innovation and workforce development, and facilitate industry collaboration among OEMs, suppliers, service providers, and government.
- Members: Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon, NGC, General Dynamics, Textron, Honeywell Aero, L3Harris, BAE, GE Aerospace. Total membership: 340+ companies across the global aviation supply chain.
- Membership Costs: $9,000; pro-rated for 2025.

- Current Stage of Membership: Application submitted by Michael Blackburn; pending review. Aerospace Industries Association
Digital Twin Consortium
- Purpose: Ecosystem development to build a comprehensive, multi-faceted ecosystem that supports digital twin innovation; improve interoperability and scalability of digital engineering projects; establish best-practice methodologies for digital twin technologies and influence policy and standards.
